Neuromuscular Massage Therapy/
Re-education

NEUROMUSCULAR MASSAGE THERAPY or RE-EDUCATION (NMT) is a unique blend of manual therapy techniques that identifies and corrects structural and biomechanical patterns in the body that cause chronic pain. MYOFASCIAL RELEASE, ACTIVE ISOLATED STRETCHING AND LOW LASER THERAPY may also be used in conjunction with NMT. Traditionally, your health care practitioner will only treat the symptoms and not the cause. In order to identify the cause NMT uses posture, movement, and flexibility assessments to create a comprehensive therapy program that includes the six stages of REHABILITATION:

Eliminate Muscle Spasm/Trigger Points

Restore Flexibility

Restore Proper Biomechanics

Increase Muscle Strength

Increase Muscular Endurance

Myofascial Stretching and Posture Correction Exercise for Home Care

The purpose of NMT is not only to eliminate the pain, but educate the patient on ways to prevent recurrence of pain and injury. This includes home care isolated stretching and exercise therapy.

Your sessions are private and one-on –one with an experienced licensed therapist.
